The reletionship between depression and disability in patient with rheumatoid arthritis in Kerman

Abstract:
Depression is an important problem among persons with rheumatiod arthritis(RA).It appears to be more prevalent among persons with RA than in the general population.Moreover studies of individuals with RAhave demonstrated cross-sectional relationships between depression and disabiltiy of RA patients.to examine the relationship between disability and depression in RA patients in Kerman a prospective cross sectional study with concecutive sampling in private rheumatology clinic was designed.logestic regression models showed that depression is the risk factor for disability(Odds ratio=OR=6.8P=0.009) and for the depression(OR=7.2 P=0.007).the findings determind that disability and depression are interrelated,each of them is a risk foctor for other.
